Birthday Card (Quick Share)

Hey there, it's me! I'm still hurting quite a bit (which is so frustrating) so I don't have much for you yet. I did make a birthday card for my mom on Friday, as my sister had planned a surprise party for her that evening. I made this while our power was out too, so I felt quite pleased with myself. Just wanted to share:

This was pretty simple - Stampin' Up! card stock for the base. A bit of floral patterned paper I die cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies. The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life happycalligraphy2stamp set and then I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval dies to cut that out. Then I just added some paper flowers I had picked up at CKC a couple of years ago. I put yellow enamel dots in the center, and then finally added glitter with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen.

I was happy I could attend my mom's party. I had to leave a bit early because I just hit a wall of pain and exhaustion, but it was a nice night for my mom, who really deserved it. My grandmother passed away a couple of weeks ago and my mom has really cared for her almost daily for the past several years.

Still hoping to be back doing...SOMETHING...later this week. I'm sorry it is taking me so long!
