Did you know that New England winters suck? I didn't really feel that way until about 3 years ago and now I am so over it. If I could move to a warmer place, I would. Really, I would. It's in the plans, but probably not until Austin is out of high school. Or until we win the lottery and don't have to work again.
Anyway, I'm so freakin' cold lately I felt like I needed to make a summery digital page this week. So I scrapped some older photos from a trip to Ogunquit, ME, and I used some bright, fun papers and cards on my page.
I used one of the newest Story Grids templates from Amber LaBau. I just added my own shadows and removed one of the cards to make it look like I had placed the photos and cards on top of a sheet of card stock. On the page I've used elements, cards, and papers from the Charmed Memory Pockets Monthly collection - mostly the add-on A Charmed Life papers and pocket cards from Amber. I also pulled the 'fly free' title from Amber's Metamorphosis element pack.
I love the navy in these papers and cards. I feel like it goes well with a beach/ocean theme. And the aqua, pink, and green are so cheerful and vibrant. This was the perfect layout to get my mind off this frosty winter, even if it is only for a night.
