Birthday Card & New Custom Stamp

Today I have a birthday card to share with you.

I recently ordered the Altenew Painted Butterflies stamp set and couldn't wait to play with it. As soon as it arrived I tested it out and made a fun butterfly. Later, I cut it out (by hand, which is like, the most annoying thing ever for me), and used it on this card, which is for my stepmom for her birthday.

This set is so neat. You have several different layers to the butterflies, so you stamp them in different colors of inks to get this look. On my butterflies I did put a little bit of glitter over the darker shaded areas (just because I love sparkle).

I also got to use my new personalized stamp for the back of my cards. Jennifer McGuire talked about Twig & Linen during her My Favorite Craft Things 2014, and I fell in love with their stamps. I had to order one for myself, and oh my gosh, so cute. It shipped out super fast too! I love the little extra touch it adds to the card.
