I'm almost done, guys! I just have to do the pages for our Disney trip. I seriously can't believe I haven't scrapbooked the Disney trip yet. I haven't even shared it on the blog yet! I think the volume of photos is overwhelming me, but I'll get it done! I mean, at least before our trips this year. :)
Anyway, here are my 5 layouts for December:
I did all of these pages with the Hello December kit in the Project Life app, on my iPad. The extra text was added with the Rhonna Designs app. (I'm eagerly awaiting the moment when the Project Life app can do it all - text on photos and little stamps and stickers).
I kept my journaling to a minimum and just highlighted the important parts of our December.
Below, I added a 25 photo collage of each night of our "25 Days of Books" tradition. I made the collage on my iPad with the Pixlr Express app. (It's the only one I found that could do 25 photos). I could have done it in Photoshop Elements, of course, but the goal was to bust out these pages as quickly as possible, and I was too lazy to go over to my iMac.
I do love the ability to scrap right from your couch, or while waiting for an appointment, without having to transfer photos to your laptop. I like that you can start a layout and work on it in chunks if you want to take more time. I love that the text is easily centered or lined up how you'd like on the journaling cards. The app is fairly powerful, even if it's missing a few key options.
It feels nice to get the year completed...beyond the Disney vacation. I feel good even without that part being finished, because I have all the daily stuff documented. Hopefully I can get off my butt and get that trip completed and share it with you soon. :)
is an amazing and simple scrapbooking system designed by Becky Higgins.
While I often use products created by other designers, I attribute my
love of pocket style scrapbooking to Becky and Project Life, which is
why I always refer to my pocket pages as Project Life. For more
information, please check out Becky's website. If you're new to the blog and you'd like to scroll back
through my past few years doing Project Life, you can find all of my
Project Life related posts here. In 2014 I used the digital Project Life format, which you can find products for here. Or you can design a page using the brand new Project Life iOS app.
