Craft Room Art

My BFF SweatyGirl just had a birthday, and since she has a super cute organized craft room (thanks to yours truly, hehe), I thought I'd make her a little art piece to hang on the wall.

I purchased this frame at Michaels. It's a shadowbox style frame, which I needed so that I could add some embellishments behind the glass. The word art was cut with my Silhouette Portrait, using this design from the Silhouette store. I just cut it out of a sheet of black card stock.

I punched three butterflies using this Martha Stewart punch, glued them in the center, and fluffed up the top two layers so that it gave the butterfly dimension. I then added a little half-pearl in the center. I just used the Tombow Mono Multi-Glue to attach (this stuff is my new favorite liquid adhesive).

The flowers were die cut using these dies from The Stamps of Life. More pearls finished off the centers of the flowers.

This really was a simple project but I think it turned out so pretty. And Shannon LOVED it :)
