Next month, we'll be able to celebrate Halloween a bit early at Disney. Since I've been planning costumes and getting tickets for these activities, I've been in the Halloween mood. So I thought it would be fun to work on some Halloween cards.
My first cards for this year are these two happy pumpkin cards:
I used the same supplies, but made one card vertical and one horizontal.
The card bases are Stampin' Up!'s Elegant Eggplant. I used the yellow polka dot paper from the DCWV Harvest Gathering stack, along with paper from the Recollections Boo Who stack.
My pumpkins were stamped using Stampin' Up!'s Jack of All Trades stamp set, and the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive ink colors. I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and Memento Tuxedo Black to do the "happy halloween" banner. I die cut the banner with the Bitty Banners Framelits. Finally I just wrapped some black cord around my card, looping it through the tag, and tied a bow.
Fairly easy cards to make. I think the most time consuming part was cutting out the pumpkin. I hope to share a few more cards with you over the next few weeks.
