It's blog circle day! You should be visiting me from Stephanie's blog, Bee Tree Studios.
Today I have a layout to share that is using the new template I put up in my shop last weekend. I actually completed the layout in under an hour, which is pretty quick for me, because usually I'm a bit indecisive. I used a mini kit from Mye De Leon, called Currently, to complete my pages.
Here's a closer look at the left page:
This week I had a lot of photos, but not many real "stories" about them. So I decided to let the photos mostly speak for themselves. On this left page I included a photo I took of my friend's daughter, a before and after shot of my haircut, and photos related to us finally finishing off our livingroom (furniture/decor-wise).
I added a screenshot from the text I received from Lindsay telling me she'd already framed one of the photos I took. That made me feel really good, so I wanted to include it. And I made my usual monthly marker card with my 2014 brush set.
Here's a look at the right side:
On this page I added a photo of Sadie that I liked, along with one from our (clean, for once) kitchen. I thought as I included this that someday we might change something about the kitchen and having a photo to see what it looked like now might be nice. I also added in movie ticket stubs that I'd scanned, and a photo of Austin doing one of his new puzzles (he is SO into puzzles right now).
For journaling for this week, I used one of the brushes and papers from Mye's kit to make up a "currently" card. Then I jotted a little note about what the photos in the spread were about. The photos and just this simple card will remind me of why these memories are important.
That's it for this week! Please head on over to Kristi's blog for the next stop on our circle.
