I had yesterday off from work for an appointment with an allergist (apparently, I'm allergic to running, among other things) and wanted to spend some time in the afternoon catching up on my Project Life spreads. Today I'm sharing Austin's birthday spread:
On these pages I used the About A Boy, Currently, A New, and Sunkissed kits from Mye De Leon. (Can you tell I love her stuff?). I also used a couple of elements from the Sugarplum Paperie freebie from the Sweet Shoppe Designs birthday hop awhile back. These pages were both made with my Pocket Template Design 1. I've included the border for blog/gallery purposes but most likely I'll eliminate it when printing my photo book, so that I don't need to worry about any of it being cut wonky.
Here's a look at the left page:
I kept this page about his actual birthday. Photos of him at three years old, and opening presents/setting up his race car bed with us.
One element I added to the page is this arrow clip from Stampin' Up!
To make it look "clipped" I just used my eraser tool and erased the part that would be behind the photo. A friend of mine sent me a link to a tutorial about how to add the "bump" that you'd see on a real clipped page, if you're interested in checking that out. I actually don't like the bump so I didn't add it.
Here's a look at the right page:
This page is about his party (and him being totally wiped out the next day). I wrote a little about the party and then let the photos do the talking. We had a train themed party, so I did a few DIY decorations such as the train tracks on the floor (black Scotch brand washi tape, available at Staples).
Slowly catching up. On to April!
