I finished the first spread in my December Daily/Christmas album. I'm calling it December Daily but I'm including stories about our Christmas season, even if they didn't happen within the month of December or on a specific day. Things like our favorite ornaments or wrapping presents. We don't have a Christmas activity every day, and I'm using my Project Life album to document the regular daily happenings.
Anyway, here's my first spread:
As a reminder, here's what my foundation page looked like:
This spread is about decorating our tree, which did happen on December 1st. On the left page, I added some gold star sequins to the bottom pocket.
A theme for this spread were these gold glitter trees that I punched using an EK Success punch and glitter card stock. I ran it through my Xyron before punching to add adhesive to the back.
You saw my transparent dividers with the vellum numbers in my foundation page post, but here's a look at the divider for the first spread:
I found this adorable cut file in the Silhouette store. Perfect for the start of the album. I laid it just over the edge of my photo, which uses my free December Daily overlays.
And then I added another of those trees to the photo:
I am not going to be able to keep up with posting a page a day, since I have a ton going on, so likely you'll see a group of them at a time going forward. I hope you're enjoying documenting your December/Christmas season like I am!
To keep myself on track, I do make sure to make my photo with the overlay every day and journal a little about the story I'd like to tell with that photo. That way I can do the crafty/scrappy part as I have time. I don't want this album to cause stress!
