Welcome to Project Life 2013, week 42. Wow! Another year is almost over.
This is one of my favorite layouts of this year. I chose to work with the Maggie Holmes Flea Market Edition (in digital form). I absolutely adore the color palette of this kit. Turquoise, gray, and pink with a creamy vintage base? Love!
I have started keeping track of my Project Life kits using Evernote. I started uploading screenshots to Evernote but then Becky Higgins just released the PDF sheets, so I have those to browse through now. I chose my cards, printed them, and then I started looking in my stash for some embellishments that coordinated.
I also used a set of labels from the Silhouette store and recolored them to match the Maggie Holmes kit. I'll show you a few closeups of those.
Here's the left page:
You can see a few of the labels I printed over the photo of the three of us and the photo from the wedding I assisted at.
Love this wood heart I added over the label.
I wrote a 4x6 journaling card all about some issues we were having with our pets that week. I finally found the perfect spot to use this flair button I picked up in April at CKC Manchester. It is one of my own freebie brushes, and it was really cool to see it in action. I added it on top of a vellum arrow from one of the Studio Calico kits.
I added some enamel dots on my title card, along with some of my favorite Amy Tangerine American Crafts thickers in the gray color. You can see one of the turquoise brads I had in my stash that I added to a journaling card in this photo as well.
Here's a look at the right side:
On this page I cropped a panoramic photo I took with my iPhone into a 4x12 canvas, then cropped it in half twice so that I could split the photo between two pockets. On top I added a wood embellishment from Studio Calico.
I really like how this spread turned out. Everything looks so cohesive and the colors are some of my favorites.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
