Project Life 2013: Week 38

Welcome to Project Life 2013, week 38.

This week I spent some time choosing a color scheme (based off of my title card - the "life is so good" one from We R Memory Keepers) and playing with each individual pocket.

Here's a closer look at the left side:

The majority of the photos in my layout this week are just random, everyday things. I didn't bother to place them by date in the page protectors, rather just fit them in where I thought I could journal (or not) with them appropriately. On this left page, I included a photo of a breakfast I had with Shannon, Austin eating some plantain chips, and a letter I received from McDonald's after I had some very bad service.

This page protector is from the Just Add Color kit, so I had several 2x2 spaces to fill. I alternated using cards from the JAC kit and my photos, and I also cut down some patterned paper and a card from WRMK.

I love the wood arrows and hearts from Studio Calico that I added to a couple of the 2x2 cards.

Here is a look at the right side:

I spent part of the weekend catching up on the first half of Season 3 of Awkward., so I made a card about that with a screenshot from the show and some American Crafts thickers.  I included a photo of me at work, lots of journaling, and a photo of my beloved purple car that my dad is selling.

I also included a special card & envelope we received from PetSmart, offering us a free day of doggie day camp and a free night at the Pets Hotel. Sadie goes every week for doggie day care and this is where we generally leave her when we are out of town, so they gave us this treat since we're such loyal customers. So nice! The envelope and card were super cute. I simply punched a half circle in the top of the envelope so that you can easily slip out the card if you want to read it:

That's it for week 38. Phew!
