Photo Thank You Card
My friend Lindsay has a son a couple of years older than Austin, and she is super thoughtful and sends Austins all of her son's hand-me-downs. It has saved us from buying so many clothes over the past few years. A truly amazing gift. Of course, I thank her each time I receive a bag, but I wanted to send her a special card after a recent donation of super cute galoshes that Austin adores. I snapped a picture of him when he received them and I thought that would be perfect to go on this thank you card.
Austin slept with the boots for several nights because he loved them that much, and insisted on wearing them in to daycare even though they're a little too big right now. I'm so thankful that Lindsay passed these along to us.
For this card I used a paper stack from My Mind's Eye called Quilting Bee. The colors I thought went nicely with the colors on the galoshes. I matted the photo on one sheet, then layered that over another sheet for the front panel of the card. I cut a couple of pennants out of more sheets and added a stamped sentiment that I punched with a circle punch. Some tiny buttons finish off the card. I sponged the edges of everything as well with Memento London Fog ink.
