Project Life 2013: Week 30

Welcome to Project Life 2013, week 30. You might have noticed that I skipped over week 29. Week 29 will be posted later this month. :)

Here's a look at this week's layout:

On the left side I am using a Design F page protector, and the right is my usual Design A. I used mostly cards from the Honey Project Life kit this week. The first card that started off my layout was the one on the left page with the Amy Tangerine Remarks file folder/couple sticker and the yellow in the Honey kit matched it perfectly.

A closer look at the left side:

On this page I journalled about Austin and his best friend at daycare. I had a couple of photos of him copying her with the baby dolls that I thought were just so sweet. The "he loves her" tag was punched from one of the cards in the Project Life Wedding Edition.

I just had to include a photo of Will & Kate and the new prince. Not that I personally am connected or even feel connected to it, but so many people were watching and waiting for this little baby to be born it felt wrong not to include it in the layout. I added a journaling card with a little "pull me" tab behind the photo to write about the prince's birth. I happened to have an old set of baby themed stickers, and the "little prince" one was perfect!

For the title card, I love the clouds on this but wanted to add something. Vellum clouds I punched out with Fiskars cloud punches were the perfect touch.

Here's a look at the right side:

Brad and I went out to dinner on Friday night to Not Your Average Joe's. We had not been before so I cut a little piece of the menu to add to a 4x6 pocket. I used a Dear Lizzy roller stamp for the "today we..." part, and added some punched hearts for some decoration.

This week we finally said good-bye to Austin's binky. One night he just didn't ask for it at bedtime, so I thought I'd hold off giving it to him and see if he wanted it later. He never ended up asking for it. I was surprised because I thought for sure when we eventually tried to take the binky away (which he was only using at night anyway) there would be tears and a few sleepless nights. Instead this could not have gone any smoother. I'm a little sad, because he's growing up so fast, but happy that this was not a struggle. That's why I used "Bittersweet Good-bye" as the title on the photo of 3 of Austin's binkies he's used throughout the last couple of years.

That's week 30 for you! Again, week 29 will show up later this month. Have a great week everyone! Happy scrapping!
