Welcome to Project Life 2013, week 27. First week of a fresh new album, and I decided to stop doing my usual weekly title cards with the calendar printables. I was growing a little bored with those each week and there are so many super cute new title cards in the new core kits.
I made this week's layout to coordinate with the traditional layout I made featuring my friend SarahBeth's daughter.
I didn't use any journaling cards, but simply cut 3x4 cards from the papers in that My Mind's Eye set that I used in the layout. Some of the papers are light enough you can write easily over the patterns.
On this first page I have our title card - a photo I made using the new Rhonna Farrer app, a strip of washi tape and some MME paper. Dear Lizzy thickers for the week number. I also added in the room key (I always keep my room keys) and photos from the trip. Earlier in the week we had a tornado warning in my hometown so I added a photo and an iPhone screenshot of the warning.
I just realized as I'm typing this blog post that I didn't include any journaling about the massage photo or Five Guys receipt. I'll need to go back and update that part. (Basically I just treated myself. I've been having neck pain for the past almost 2 months and wanted to try a massage - didn't work. I got Five Guys on the way back to work).
Lots of pictures from our time hanging out with the Votras and from Evangeline's birthday party. I love how patient Austin was sitting while Evangeline opened her presents, so I had to take a photo of him from above. So sweet.
I wrote right on top of a couple of photos in this spread with a Slick Writer pen. Love those pens!
Here's a final look at the layout with the scrapbook page inserted:
Have a great week everyone!
