Project Life 2013: Week 24

Welcome to Project Life 2013, week 24. This week we visited my mother's cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee and we celebrated Father's Day.

This is the full left page:

The bottom photo is from Father's Day. I added a patterned paper border (My Mind's Eye) and some washi, then tied some plain white twine around the card. I stamped a little "Happy Father's Day" stamp on the paper.

Right side:

Photos from our day at the lake. A special one of my grandmother that I took. I know that eventually, some day, she won't be with us and I think this photo is special. (She's not sick or anything, but she IS 84 years old!). I also added a map showing the locations of the two cottages my mom has rented up on the lake. Brad snapped a photo of me snapping a photo so I had to include that one as well.

I had a small insert from Snap! that I added to include some extra 3x4 photos.

The cards I used this week are from the Honey, Blush, Jade, and Seasons Mini Project Life kits. I seriously love that a lot of the kits work well together. I used stickers from Snap!, Simple Stories Vintage Bliss, Stampin' Up! This & That and October Afternoon's Midway collection.

  1. I love the idea of including a small simple stories insert. Great idea! I agree that I love how the kits really seem to work together.

    1. I picked up a bunch of packs of them because I thought they'd be so perfect for smaller inserts in the middle of my weeks. Thank you!

  2. Hey, isn't Lake Winnipesaukee in the movie "What about Bob?" My son LOVES that movie!! If not, it's sounds pretty darn close! Wonderful LO and GREAT photo of your grandmother!!

    1. I had to ask my mom and she said it was. I had no idea. Pretty neat.

      Thanks so much!
