Project Life Organization

I finally made a dedicated area of my craft room for all of my Project Life stuff. I had everything all over the room for well over a year; working at my desk, embellishments here and there, alphas in five places. Now it's all in one spot.

This is a result of one little {BIG} storage container I found over the weekend at CKC. It's a Cropper Hopper Sticker Stadium, and it is FANTASTIC.

It holds all of my alphas, stamp sets, and sticker sets that I use in my Project Life albums. I picked up so many sets of thickers this weekend that I am glad I finally have a place to store them. I love that this expands to 8" and each slot holds a ton of stuff.

There are actually tabs at the top and it comes with some stickers so you can label each section, but my stuff is pretty tall so I didn't think labels were necessary.

I wanted a counter height work table, so I bought some bed risers at Bed Bath & Beyond and raised up one of my Ikea tables. It is perfect. I like to work on Project Life standing up (as well as other projects) and the bed risers are great. (These are the 7" risers).

I have the Cropper Hopper right out on that table so my alphas and stickers are right within my reach. I can also slide it towards me to flip through if I need to find something.

That's Austin's baby album on the table. I'm hoping to share months 2-6 on the blog next week. Months 7-12 are nearly complete as well, so I should have that a few weeks later.

Along the other wall I have a stack of clear front drawers from Michaels that I received for Christmas. They are my favorite. You can easily see what's inside and they hold a ton!

I use a couple of Becky's organization trays to hold my Studio Calico monthly kits and the cards I'm currently using in this year's album. The trays fit nicely inside the drawers.

On the top of the drawers I have a small container that holds my punches related specifically to Project Life, along with some stamps. I have a couple of jars that hold labels too.

By the way, those punches are this WRMK Tab punch, and two Epiphany Shape Studio punches - pennant and hexagon. I picked all three of those up this past weekend at CKC and cannot wait to use them!

I love having a dedicated space for working on Project Life. I know where everything is now, no more digging through various spots in my craft room to find what I need (or forgetting what I have).

  1. It looks so good! :) I need to look into that sticker holder ... I have my things arranged like that in a basket, but some of the smaller items still get smooshed up front. It would be nice if they had some room to breathe! :)

  4. Love seeing your PL space! The sticker holder looks very cool. I haven't seen those clear front drawers at my Michaels. Where in your store did you find them?

    1. I actually got those as a Christmas gift but I'm pretty sure they're just with the scrapbook storage. They'd be in one of those thinner boxes, you have to assemble them yourself (and yeah, it sucks, but they're really cool). They coordinate with all the cubes and shelves, etc.

  5. Very clever idea using the bed risers. I am going to have to get some. I have an extra table I bring out at times, makes my space crowded, but would be perfect to use with the risers so I could stand finally! Love your paint color as well. Very cheerful!

    1. Yes I love the risers! :) It saves my back when I want to work standing up. I definitely found the 7" was the perfect height though, if you're tall you might find the shorter (4-5") ones a little too low.
