Starburst Hello Card

I am doing my first ever card swap this Wednesday night at my Stampin' Up! demo meeting. I had to make 6 of the same card, using all Stampin' Up! products.

I'd made a starburst card previously, so I thought I'd try one of those for this card too.

I picked three pieces of Sycamore Street DSP, and cut up all of my strips according to the dimensions in this starburst card tutorial.

I wanted to use one of the new stamp sets from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, Pretty Petites. The "hello" stamp, along with the Petite Curly Label punch, the Curly Label punch, and one of the banners from the Bitty Banners Framelits set made up my focal point on the card:

I started putting the front of the card together using the tutorial, and snipped off the edges that hung over my base:

Added a strip of the Island Indigo card stock (which I drew stitches on with a white gel pen) and layered on my punch outs:

Here's my finished card:

I love how bright and cheerful this is, and how everything coordinates together so nicely.
