Project Life 2013: Week 7

Welcome to week 7 of Project Life 2013. If you're new to my blog, make sure you check out my post about my 2013 album.

I have a few different inserts this week because there was so much going on. Here's a shot of my full layout with the inserts:

This week we celebrated Valentine's Day, and Brad and I took a long weekend getaway.

These are close ups of the two main pages of my layout:

Austin got his hair cut at Snip-its on Friday (I wasn't really happy with them though and won't be going back). I included a before & after photo of the haircut and a business card from the shop. I also added a little text conversation Shannon & I had earlier in the week.

This page was all from our trip away. A cut out from the hotel pamphlet, a postcard from Nestlenook Farm, some photos I took while we were away. I also added in a 3x4 card from the Studio Calico February Project Life kit.

The layout without inserts:

I added one of the Project Life 5x7 page protectors with Austin's Valentine's Day cards that he received at daycare. I sealed it slightly at the top with some washi tape, and added a little label from the February Studio Calico Project Life kit.

I also included the Valentine's Day cards that Brad and "Austin" gave to me. I'll add in the one I made for Brad when he's finished with it - right now he has it displayed on the fireplace mantel.

I included a special insert for our trip away:

I used 4x6 journaling cards to document our trip on each side of the insert. Lots of photos from our time away and movie stubs from the movie we saw.

I loved the February Studio Calico stamp set that came with the Project Life kit. I used one of the stamps for this journaling card (above), and another stamp to make the little arrows on the 3x4 card (also from the SC kit - below).

I know, I still need to do a blog post about our trip. That's coming this week, I promise. I really want to tell you guys all about what we did and show you the pictures I took while we were away. Just haven't found the time to gather my post together!

  1. Love the idea of gong away just the two of you. We are really in need of doing that.

  2. Another gorgeous spread. I especially love the vacay page... it just feels so romantic, the photos you picked and the colors you chose.
You're really good at setting the mood of a spread!

  3. Love how you put the class Valentine's in a separate page protector! Going to snag that idea for my boys' cards (usually we toss them after a couple years:( )
