Project Life 2013: Week 6

Welcome to Project Life 2013, Week 6. If you're new to my blog, make sure you check out my post about my 2013 album.

Had fun putting this week's layout together. Lots of blizzard photos, so I had an insert. Here's what my layout looks like with the insert:

And without the insert:

One thing you'll notice is I used my new 4x6 days of the week templates. The colors I used (which come with the templates, though you can change them to any color you like) are all pulled from the My Mind's Eye papers I'm using as my base kit. These were SO easy to use, and I love the added touch they give my photos. I'm actually thinking that later in the year I'll use them with all black and white photos - that would look so great!

Here's a closer look at page one and the front of my insert:

I didn't have a lot of journaling this week, as it was for the most part fairly routine, so I opted to just make a "highlights of the week" card instead, and use the rest of the papers from My Mind's Eye as filler cards.

For the title on my insert, I used one of the Studio Calico February Project Life kit cards, and added a label from the January kit made with alphas from the February kit:

The 4x6 card actually says "you are loved" (I think!), but I wanted to use it for the blizzard, so adding the label worked perfectly.

Here's a look at page two and the back of my insert:

The "Awesome" card is from Studio Calico, and I used it to write all about Austin starting potty training. I also made a card for my journaling about the blizzard using some Amy Tangerine thickers and a Martha Stewart stamp, with chalk ink and a glitter pen:

I'm a couple of weeks behind on my Project Life but I'm not really all that worried. I need to pull week 7 and 8 together, and plan to do that this week, so I'll be back on track soon. I'm really not stressing about Project Life this year, at all.
