Project Life 2013: Week 3

What can I say? Still totally digging how simple I'm letting this be this year. If you're new to my blog, make sure you check out my post about my 2013 album.

The best way to keep things simple? Fill up your slots with photos. They don't have to be from your fancy camera (all of the shots on the left are from my iPhone). But fill them up, and then you don't have to think about what else to put in a slot.

I did a small touch of something creative on this page and that was it for the whole layout (well, except the title card, but I made that in advance).

This was a transparency from the January Studio Calico kit. I took some of the letter stickers and added the word "happen" to it, then layered it over a card printed from the digital Seafoam kit. I wanted this to tie in to my before and after photos of our major kitchen cleaning we did. It was simple to put together but make such a statement in the week's layout.

Obligatory photo of us all together before the football game (Pats lost, boo!), and shots of Austin at an indoor playground we took him to.

This week I used the Seafoam kit and the Studio Calico kit, as well as one of my own freebie journaling cards.

  2. Beautiful! This is exactly how I want to do my PL, I don't want to get overwhelmed this year! I see you have the same set-up around your TV as we do. LOL

    1. Thank you! I definitely felt overwhelmed at some points last year, so I'm loving keeping things simple now :)
