Enter Jo-Ann Fabrics. They had adorable little red & pink rubber ducky sets in the Valentine's section. I bought all that they had, 9 sets, which turned out to be precisely the number I needed.
I had the little drawstring bags at home to put the duckies in already, so I just needed to make a tag for each bag. I gathered some supplies:
That's American Crafts Hip Hip Hooray paper, Stampin' Up!'s Hearts A Flutter Framelits, the American Crafts With Love date stamp, a Sizzix tag die, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, a Sharpie pen, and scissors. Not shown is my Big Shot machine.
I started by running the heart framelit through my Big Shot with a sheet from the AC paper stack.
I also ran this Sizzix die through with Kraft card stock, using the medium tag shape. (I just cut smaller pieces of the card stock so I didn't waste it).
With the tag cut out, I stamped the phrase I wanted to use first, in case I screwed up:
I deliberately put it off to the side so that I didn't have to worry about perfectly lining it up.
Then I added the heart to the tag with some ATG adhesive.
Finally, I took the Sharpie pen and drew little stitches around the heart. Doubled those up, too, for a rough kind of look (again, in case I made a mistake!).
I love how simple and cute these are!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Adorable!
