As most of you know, I wanted to do Ali Edwards' December Daily, but I wanted to keep it fairly simple. I simply don't have enough time to make a separate album, so I wanted to incorporate the December Daily idea into my regular Project Life album. Thanks to these beautiful overlays and journaling cards from Ali Edwards, I was able to do so.
Simple, but full of glitter and holiday warmth.
I wanted just a few embellishments, so besides the glitter ribbon, I took a star die cut, ran it through my Xyron, and then sprinkled more Martha Stewart glitter (Sterling) over it. Used my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to add it to the journaling card and slipped it into the pocket.
So in love with this glitter ribbon:
I used it on just a few of the photos, so glitter didn't overwhelm the layout but still gave it such a nice sparkle. Perfect for the holiday season.
I've had a few people ask how I'm incorporating this into the regular Project Life format - basically, this is replacing the typical week for me. I'm choosing one photo per day, and journaling about that photo. For the most part, the photo chosen is the main event of the day anyway, or the most significant thing that I want to remember. I really love how this is shaping up.
I love how you're including this in your project life album! I decided to do a separate album & not start project life until January, but it has been a lot of work, especially with how busy this time of year is! Next year I think I will have to borrow your format, it is gorgeous!

Thanks! Huge thanks to Ali Edwards, because without her cards and overlays I probably wouldn't have done it!
