Things to come, plus some cuteness.

First, the cuteness. Austin's been learning his letters, and I caught a video of him doing three of them in a row the other night. (He also knows F, T, L, and X but no video of those ones yet! Getting him to do them all without getting distracted by other toys is a tough thing to accomplish).

He also started repeating us at times, and this weekend, picked up saying "Austin." So now he's saying his name all the time. He kills me with his cuteness and how fast he's learning things.

On to what's coming up:

Exercise related - I'm starting a 30 day challenge to lose approximately 6 pounds (short term goal of 150 pounds) tonight. If it works, I'll post my plan at the end of the 30 days in case anyone would like to use it.

Blog related - I have not forgotten about the "Favourite Photo" retro card that someone requested. I stupidly didn't save my layered file, so it needs to be recreated from scratch and I haven't wanted to spend an hour doing this yet. It won't be a Friday freebie, it'll be an extra, and I'll try to get it to you this month.

Freebie related - I do have ideas, but if anyone has any special requests, feel free to post them in the comments. Along those lines, if you have a custom order for something larger or more elaborate you'd like through my Etsy shop, please let me know as well.

Etsy related - Stampin' Up! sets went up yesterday. Halloween cards are in the works over the course of September. I am planning to do a few more brush sets in other languages (one is already available in French in the shop). Spanish will be next on the list. If anyone has any preferences for days of the week in other languages, let me know in the comments. (It's also helpful for me if you actually list them out - I can look them up but I'd rather ensure I'm making the spellings you want, instead of relying on Google to give me accurate information).

Project Life/scrapbooking related - I think I mentioned this before, but I am planning to use my own digital (printable) kit next year as my base kit. I'm going to be pulling together a kit using colors and designs that allow flexibility and work with the embellishments and things I have at home (meaning they'll be multiple colors and styles), so that I can actually use this kit for the entire year. By flexibility, I want to have designs that can be added to with physical embellishments and match some of the other papers I like to use. This is mainly because I still have so much of the current core kits leftover that I can't justify buying a brand new kit for next year (but I do have a hard time resisting anything Becky Higgins related).

Also, I am in the process of creating a wedding themed digital (printable) kit. There isn't one out there that I've seen that really works with the Project Life page styles, so I'm working on something.

Both of these kits - my own 2013 kit and the wedding kit, will be for sale in the Etsy shop when they're completed. (Hopefully by year's end).

Finally, I'm planning on some baby themed brushes and overlays that will coordinate with Becky Higgins' Baby Editions, and most (if not all) will be freebies. I'm going to be using the Baby Edition (for him) to scrap Austin's first year, and am super excited about it. I can't wait until the kits are available on Amazon later this year.

  1. I would love to see a basic set of holiday journaling cards as freebies, perhaps shortly before each one occurs? Doesn't have to be fancy, but something with Halloween, Thanksgiving etc on them. Also, I'd love to see some chevron :) and I'm always a sucker for typewriter fonts.

  2. I would love to see number circles from 1-52 to mark the weeks on the title card. Something about 1.5 - 2 inches. I can only find circles like this for 1-31. Free would be cool, but I'd also gladly pay for them.

  3. You are such a lovely person.... Whenever you get time to do the favourite card will be wonderful. I also second the Christmas holiday theme... Can't wait for all the new digital versions later in the year too!
