First, a little housekeeping.
For all you Project Lifers out there, I've been telling you for a few weeks that I've got something big in the works coming in August. Over the weekend I picked a date for the big reveal. Please be sure to check my blog on Friday August 17th. I can't give you guys any details, but I do hope you'll be surprised and delighted! :)
Now, on to Project Life. I'm finally caught up! (Ok, except for the ending page of Album 1 and starting page of Album 2, but those might not be done for awhile. I don't know what I want to do on them yet).
Here's week 28, with insert:
I went with the Cobalt edition this week. My photos were all bright colors, so I thought the Cobalt edition fit nicely.
Here are closeups of each page:
I had an insert this week, for various photos from our date night, and the mini golf score sheet. I ended up sewing this on the new (to me) sewing machine my mom gave me (a singer 1425N).
Before I did this on my sewing machine, however, I made one entirely by hand. I took photos of the process and plan to post the tutorial on my blog soon. You can definitely make your own custom page protectors by hand without a machine, and I'll show you how I did one. It worked great, I just was excited to try out my new machine :)
On the title card this week, I used some awesome stamps I'd picked up at a scrapbook convention months ago:
Ok, on to week 29:
This week was a mix of papers from October Afternoon, Jillibean Soup, and Stampin' Up!.
My favorite part of the layout is that photo of Austin I put up over the weekend:
I just can't get over it. It's definitely my favorite photo that I have ever done.
I had the photo before he went down the slide, along with some journaling about it and a QR code with a video of Austin on the slide.
Here, I used some of the Storytime paper from Stampin' Up! and a piece of a Clementine edition journal card I'd cut.
On my title card, I used more of the Storytime paper for the week number, a little calendar stamp I had, and this really cool old printing plate I found at the flea market over the weekend.
More of the Stampin' Up! paper here to show off Austin starting to recognize his letters. He watches a lot of Super Why on Sprout, and I think he recognizes the letters in his letter book because of it. He sits and points to a letter and says "ah" like he's trying to sound them out. Then when he notices me, he'll point to each letter and look at me as I say it, like he's listening and taking it in.
That's it! Be sure to stop by The Mom Creative tomorrow and check out everyone else's layouts from the week!
