Project Life 2012: Week 26 (AKA The Falling Behind Edition)

I'm still behind a week. I sat down to "catch up" a bit by doing week 26 (which was 2 weeks ago) and I'm just feeling burnt out.

I hate this layout. Nothing coordinate and it just looks like one big hot mess. So, you get a few bad Instagram photos, and I'm moving on and putting this layout out of my mind.

Layout without the insert:

Layout with insert, which is a 6x6 pocket cut from a Design E page protector. It's a favorite Instagram of Austin on the day he turned 15 months old.

Closeups of each page:

Since it's hard to see it, here's the collage photo:

I used one of my Love Brushes on top of the photos before printing.

I'm skipping my products used section this week, but I do want to point out a new paper stack I used in the layout. It's from Recollections at Michaels, and it's called Mosaic Memories. I love the colors of the papers and look forward to using it in future layouts.

I hope I can get myself out of this funk of feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and burnt out on Project Life, because I LOVE Project Life. I am just struggling right now.

Hopefully soon I will have week 27, (and by then probably week 28), along with the final page of the first album for this year and the cover page for album #2, as I've reached the end of the first half of the year and I'm out of room :)

  1. I actually quite like this spread. I really love the arrows, the colors, and the tape usage on the bottom right.
I know how you feel though, I did use up the good crafty vibes you sent me :-) But I got that one cute card done, then made an accidental ugly one, and I still have 2 more to make (plus I really should re-do the ugly one)
I love all my new stamps and I have a lot of fun stuff to work with! but I just couldn't get into it!

    1. I bet your "ugly" card is cute to me! That's usually the way things work! I think this layout is ugly, and you like it! :)

  2. You are way too hard on yourself, this is a great page, lots of lovely colours & details. Remind yourself that it is the album as a whole that you will love the most, not the individual pages.

    1. I do like when I flip back through to the start of my album, and I think that everything seems to work perfectly together as a whole. But certain individual weeks, while working on them, I just think are not a true reflection of my creativity and it bugs me! I know in a few months I won't worry about this layout at all...

  3. I thought your pages were just lovely, we are always our worst critic. Sometimes when I feel in a project life funk, I will pick a theme for the week and it gets me inspired again.... like what we eat, where we go, what we wear(fav outfilts, jewlery, shoes, etc) what we read, where we shop, etc. It gets my creative juices going again, and it is surprisingly easy, then I am in project life love again!

    1. Oh! I love the theme idea! I hadn't thought of doing something like that. I had seen some of the monthly photography ideas checklists floating around Pinterest and at some point I wanted to do one but I love the idea of focusing on one theme for a week. Thanks!
