Project Life 2012: Week 23

Welcome to Project Life 2012, week twenty three.

I can't believe I got this done by my "deadline" of Tuesday. The layout is actually a little simpler than I'd wanted it to be, but the desire to finish took over.

Here's the full layout, with the insert:

And the layout without the insert:

Closeups of each page:

This week all of my main photos had little pennant brush overlays which I designed. You can purchase these in my Etsy shop, here.

I used Stampin' Up!'s Bitty Banners Framelits to make little pennant labels for a couple of my inserts, and I used Stampin' Up!'s Bigz Alphabet Typeset dies to make my own chipboard thickers. You can check out my post about these here

I used a white glaze pen from Gelly Roll to journal a little letter to Austin on a sheet of transparency film, which I placed over one of the photos from the beach:

For the "title" of my insert, I used more of the transparency film to stamp 'one fabulous day.' I used StazOn ink for this - it works perfectly on glossy surfaces. The stamps are from Stampin' Up!'s Fabulous Phrases set. I then added some stars punched with one of my border punches, and shells and starfish die cut using a Sizzlit. There's also a little 'fun in the sun' sticker that was in a batch Lindsay passed along to me.

  1. Gorgeous photos, as usual, and I love the idea to write on the transparency and the sticker to create a shaker box look!
