Paint the Moon Facebook Cover Templates
If you've been reading my blog for more than a couple of months, you may remember where I deactivated my Facebook, specifically because I can't stand the new Timeline feature. I ended up reactivating it, because I wanted to keep in touch with a few people that I couldn't outside of Facebook. Plus, I like seeing everyone's baby pictures. I've decided to keep my Facebook with limited use. I won't be checking it daily, sometimes maybe not even weekly. I've hidden a lot of my older photo albums, and I removed roughly half of my friends list.
Anyway, if you don't already know this, as of the end of this month, everyone's Facebook account will be switched over to the Timeline view. If you don't want to deactivate your account, you should switch to Timeline NOW, and you get a week long preview period where you can make changes and hide things you don't want published when Timeline goes live.
One of the things I actually do think is a little cool about Timeline is the cover photo. You get this large photo area at the top of your page, and you can be really creative with what you put in there. Annie over at Paint the Moon (a photography blog that I follow, because she is simply amazing) has created a bunch of beautiful templates for cover photos. What's even better is they are free for a limited time, so grab them while you can!
Here's what the top of my Facebook page looks like now:
I really love this! It's just like having a custom blog header, but on your Facebook page. And thanks to Annie at Paint the Moon, you can have a beautiful header with very little work.
