Project Life 2012 - Week Six

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday, Week Six. This week I kept it (mostly) simple. I didn't really use any embellishments, and opted to just mix the Amber and Clementine journaling cards.

Here's the full layout:

And closeups of each page:

I changed up my title card this week. I used paper from the Clementine paper pack, and cut out the month column and the date spot from the Amber card that was in the slot previously, and layered them with a photo of Whitney Houston, who passed away this week. I don't usually incorporate current events in my layouts, but I do like the idea of this and plan to do it more often in the future.

I also included a photo of one of our favorite new shows this year, Alcatraz. We really love this and look forward to Monday nights and watching it together!

That's it for this week. Gotta run, little miss Sadie is looking for some love! Be sure to stop by The Mom Creative and check out everyone else's layouts!

  1. Love your pages! I think the idea of including some current events is really good - it will help give context to our albums when we lok back on then years from now. That photo of your little one with his toy is so cute.

    1. Thank you! That's the cup we use when we give him a bath, and he is obsessed with it for some reason.

  3. Whitney Houston's death got me thinking about incorporating current events in my pages too. Hadn't thought about it before. I really like the idea too. I think it will hold a lot of value when looking at our albums in twenty years from now, or when our kids are looking at them, in the context of "history".

    1. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It would be nice to know some of the things that happened during our weeks when we're looking back.

    1. Aw, thank you! :) He's got his first two teeth, so I aimed for a shot that showed them off.
