Welcome to week three of Project Life 2012. This week's layout took me longer to complete because I have a larger insert with extra pictures, but I am really thrilled with how it turned out:
Here is a closeup of the two main pages:
On the first page, I inserted a screenshot from my phone of the weather on Monday, which was a bone chilling 7 degrees. I also used a journal card from the Clementine kit, and one of my label freebies from last week.
I also included a screenshot from my blog, showing off my My Memories giveaway. The photo on the bottom right is a picture of the show Super Why on our TV. It's Austin's favorite right now!
On the second page, I included an email that Austin typed to Brad while he visited my work last week. On the far right, is a little Stampin' Up stamp image of a sick mouse, to go along with my sick little baby in the bottom right. (Poor guy had a rough past few days, and he's still sick).
On that page you can also see a "Day in the Life" numbered grid card. That was made using my grid card freebie and digital number elements from the Amber kit on Jessica Sprague. The font is a free font from Ali Edwards, which you can read more out about here. The numbers correspond to numbers on the images in my insert:
The insert is actually a design G Project Life photo pocket page, which is currently out of stock but should return soon (check Becky's site for up to date information).
I did a Day in the Life with Austin last week, which I intended to post about this past weekend but with Austin being so sick I haven't had time. I wanted to include a bunch of these photos into my layout for the week. For the vertical photos, I just put two 4x3 sized photos onto one 4x6 sheet. Ali Edwards has a great tutorial for doing this.
I wanted a little title for my insert, so I cut out the words "day" and "life" with my Slice machine ("day" is from the Greetings cartridge, and "life" is from the Think Pink cartridge). The "in the" letters are some chipboard stickers that I picked up on clearance at Joann's awhile back. I used an idea I'd seen on Ali's blog last week and attached "life" to a clear transparency so that the picture behind it could peek through.
I love that you can see it through the back, too!
So there you have it, my Project Life for this week. I really enjoyed putting this one together!
