Stress and Greeting Cards

Does anyone have a couple extra hours a day they can spare? No, really, I need my days to be about 40 hours long. Can anyone help me do that?

It's not so much the number of shows I have this fall, it's really that the first one is now less than a month away. I have been spending pretty much every spare minute of my day crafting. This week, I am working on cards. At lunch yesterday I took a bunch of pictures - some to put online, some just to show you guys what I've been doing, but I have no time to edit them. Ugh!

I received an email this morning from someone letting me know she was going to purchase one of my recipe books and give it away on her mommy blog next month, with a link to my shop, which makes me feel I should add more recipe books to the shop. And the recipe books and albums take so long to make, I am concerned I won't get enough done in time for that first show.

So, this leads me to the status of this blog over the next month - I am going to try very hard to get some posts up while I'm at work so that the blog stays fresh, but I have to admit, it's going to be a bit sparse in the "what I've been working" on category other than cell phone snap shots, which aren't the best quality but are at least quick. I hope you all will forgive me and stick with me!

Fortunately, I do have some cell phone snaps to show you. These are a few of the cards I've been working on.

The yellow is actually more buttery, (I told you these were cell phone snaps!)

I just love my crib stamp! :)

These owls are from Hero Arts, part of a mini stamp set. So cute! All colored in with my Prismacolor pencils.

Got to try out my baker's twine from The Twinery with this card :) So bright and fun!

Another cheery one!

Gave a shot at making cards geared towards men. I think it came out well. Idea from the Stampin' Up idea book, using Stampin' Up stamps (that I got at the flea market, remember?)

A little hard to see from this angle, but these are 2" square mini cards and envelopes, and the owls are peeking into the square in different positions.

Set of 5 Wicked Witch themed stamped cards - these will be up in my Etsy shop soon (much better pictures there, I promise), along with two other Wizard of Oz themed sets of four each (one with all four characters-Dorothy & Toto, Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion, and another with all Dorothy themed stamps with "There's No Place Like Home" on the inside).

As with the very first picture above, the green is much less bright than it shows up in the picture. Another card themed a little more towards guy colors.

And there you have it. There are more that I took pictures of with my camera, and some super cute sets that Shannon made too, but I have no idea when I'll have time to show them off!

  1. Seriously - more time would be REALLY NICE.
I soooo love all the cards you've made! I went to Michael's and got the glitter pens! So I am good-to-go now :-) I'm hoping to bust out a quite a few card sets before our next crafting day!

  2. Love the cards you made!

    Hang in there!!!
